CV Residence - Beervelde, Belgium

Faced with a building plot oriented southwards, the central design problem of this single-family house was how to allow sunlight into the living quarters without compromising the inhabitants’ privacy.

By introducing a closed courtyard centered in the L-shaped floor plan, direct and reflected sunlight enters into the living  quarters while creating distance and visual contact between the different rooms at the same time. On the first floor, three identical square windows create outside views and let in early morning or late evening sunlight.

Equipped with the latest technics and insulation standards in order to achieve a nearly energy neutral building (ben-label), this residence combines state of the art comfort with high-end interior finishing.
